LOVELAND – The 2012 Parade of Homes is here and this year it’s a big one. With 72 homes open for viewing, and 28 home builders showcasing what they do best, the Parade of Homes launched it’s biggest ever tour on Aug. 9. But don’t fret, the tour continues through Sept. 3 and any of the homes can be viewed for free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays.

This year’s Parade of Homes is featuring two homes in Loveland. One from Oakwood Homes is located in the Thompson River Ranch community, and the other is from Boulder Creek Builders in the Quarry Lake community.

Oakwood Homes
With a slogan of being the “Smart Choice,” Oakwood Homes has a goal of building homes in a community setting that are easy to maintain and easy to live-in yearround. The home on the Parade of Homes tour, located at 3831 Heatherwood Circle, is the Kendall model and is one of the largest homes in the collection. Priced at $330,000, homeowners can expect to find a large, open plan that is not only easy to navigate, but one that is perfect for a family to hangout in together in the evening or for entertaining.

The Kendall is a two-story, three-bedroom home that offers a large bonus room and unfinished basement. With a square footage of 2,438 living space (finished it is more than 3,400 square feet) homeowners will not be disappointed in the space and beauty offered by this home.

Boulder Creek Builders
Located in the Quarry Lake community, the home on the tour built by Boulder Creek Builders is located at 464 Split Rock Drive, with a price of $397,000. Paul Gortzig, sales director at Boulder Creek Builders, says the homes offered in the Quarry Lake community are a “lifestyle product” that people aspire to live in. These ranch-styled patio homes with finished lower levels offer the homeowner less maintenance, and offer a beautiful view that backs to a lake. Quarry Lake is a brand new product for Boulder Creek Builders and one that was specifically made for the needs of the Loveland community.

The community was previously started by a different developer, is now in the well-known hands of Boulder Creek who plan to finish it off. The community’s overall plan calls for 30 home sites, 10 which were previously built by a different builder, will be finished with the plans offered by Boulder Creek Builders.  Gortzig says so far people seem to love the plans and idea behind the easy-maintenance, ranch-styled patio homes. In just a short couple of months Boulder Creek has already sold eight homes.
