LONGMONT – ERA Tradewind Real Estate held an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) class at its office in Longmont on May 23 and 24. The class was attended by a number of real estate agents from real estate firms all across Colorado – some as far away as Colorado Springs. Accredited Buyer Representatives, or ABRs, are designated by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, which is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. After a thorough training and accreditation process, ABRs receive special distinction for providing quality representation to home buyers.

Buyers who hire an ABR receive personalized representation throughout the home-buying process that ensures a fair and ethical transaction. Buyers have an advantage when using an ABR, because the buyer’s representative seeks to protect the home buyer not the seller. An ABR also helps the buyer by researching homes available on the market, suggesting a realistic offer price and assisting with the negotiations process.
