Anthem Ranch’s resort-style living celebrates health, social connections and natural beauty.
BROOMFIELD – Colorado’s most luxuriant and vibrant community for active adults is almost built out: 31 home sites remain, and fewer than 10 quick-delivery homes are available.
“This is the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Anthem Sales Manager Leslie Reed. “These homes, built by Toll Brothers, deliver a lifestyle like no other. There will never be another Anthem Ranch, with quick access to downtown Denver and Boulder, sprawling trails and mountain views and our all-encompassing recreation center.” Anthem Ranch, under construction since 2005, welcomes residents age 55 and over and will include 1,400 homes at capacity.
“Toll Brothers has been building for 50 years,” Reed said. “They bring a high degree of quality and expertise to Anthem Ranch and feature stunning architecture and award-winning floor plans.” Indeed, in January Fortune Magazine named Toll Brothers “the most admired home building company” for the fourth consecutive year. At Anthem Ranch, Toll Brothers offers three exclusive home collections, each of which include copious design options. Homebuyers work intimately with the Toll Brothers’ design center to personalize and perfect their new home.
Ron and Maureen Pestine are currently designing their second Anthem Ranch home. “Toll Brothers does everything and has a great warranty program. We’ve been really happy with them,” said Maureen, who transferred from Chicago to Anthem in 2016. “Toll Brothers calls weekly to let you know what’s going on. We came from out of state only a couple of times during the building process, once to make selections in the design center and again for the walk through. Everything was done correctly and very professionally.”
Ron and Maureen, like many at Anthem, moved for the lifestyle. Featuring resort-style living for the active adult, Anthem includes 48 miles of trails, 22 parks, preserved open space with wildlife, shimmering lakes and a robust sense of community and security. “What made us move here was the beauty of the place and the friendliness of the people,” Maureen said. Aspen Lodge, the recreation center and community hub, supports about 60 clubs, in addition to social events, Active Mind lectures, comedy and improv shows and field trips; thus, said Ron, “there’s no way not to get involved and meet new people.” Ron enjoys pickleball, men’s coffee club, car club and hiking and biking groups. Maureen is involved with a ladies’ social club, a knitting group and a game club. Aspen Lodge hosts annual barbeques, cookie swaps, festivals, concerts and health fairs. “Everyone here smiles,” Maureen said. “After only a few months, we had more friends here than we had back in Chicago after 70 years of living there.”
Aspen Lodge is replete with lifestyle-enhancers, including a massage therapy room, billiard hall, ballroom, card room, library, movie theater and outdoor amphitheater. The gym boasts a weight room, track, treadmills and stationary bikes and both an indoor lap pool and outdoor pool. Tennis courts, horseshoe pits, fishing docks and picnic tables are scattered community-wide. Shops and restaurants are a stone’s throw, and Denver International Airport is 20 minutes from Anthem.
Maureen and Ron appreciate the community focus on active adults. “We’re all in a similar situation, and it’s easy to connect,” Ron said. For grandparents, the recreation center organizes grandparent-and-grandchildren crafting, lunch and swim dates, as well as holiday parties.
“The joke is that Anthem Ranch is summer camp for seniors,” Ron said. Even the climate concurs, enveloping Anthem in more than 300 days of sunshine a year. “We love to be out and active and like to hike around Boulder,” Maureen said. Rocky Mountain National Park is a little over an hour away, and Boulder’s Chautauqua Park is a 30-minute drive.
Anthem Ranch resident Jane Hughes said Anthem’s commitment to an enriching lifestyle fosters healthy habits. Anthem’s network of trails meets Boulder County pathways and is open to walkers and cyclists. She noted, “I’ve met many wonderful people from all over with one thing in common: enjoying our Colorado lifestyle while enjoying the most spectacular views.”
For Reed, Tolls Brothers’ commitment to excellence is paramount. “People who are looking to purchase at Anthem Ranch are in a very different stage of their lives,” Reed said. “They are in some cases moving to a new state and leaving a neighborhood and home that they have lived in for many years. People want to downsize, but they don’t want to sacrifice quality. Toll Brothers delivers on those expectations.” Not only does Toll Brothers’ design center offer a plethora of options and customizations, but dramatic great rooms, gourmet kitchens with granite and hardwood, spa-like bathrooms and spacious bedrooms are standard with Toll Brothers homes. Also standard are tray ceilings in the master bedroom and foyer, 10-foot ceilings throughout and landscaping that emphasizes convenience and charm. Most of the homes for sale back to open space and are suited to a walkout lower level. Room expansions, deck extensions and additional doors and windows are available. Anthem Ranch homes are single-level and command choice views of the Continental Divide.
Hughes purchased her Anthem Ranch home in 2015 – after merely viewing a brochure. “That in turn made the meeting with the Toll Brothers’ design center all that more important,” she said. “Toll Brothers has designed some great floor plans that suit all different homeowners needs. They have incorporated the open feeling that everyone is looking for. All in all, I’m very pleased with Anthem Ranch home and would be hard-pressed to find anywhere I’d rather be.”
Priced from the $500s, “these homes are truly beautiful and restful,” said Reed, a former engineer who discovered her calling matching people with their dream homes. “The most rewarding part of my job is helping people find a new home that suits their needs and helps them transition into a new life and lifestyle.” Anthem, which is Toll Brothers’ first active lifestyle neighborhood in the west, has received such celebratory reviews that Toll Brothers is building more active communities throughout the region.
Ron concluded, “If you want to a lifetime of friends, a great home and the ability to enjoy every day of your life, Anthem Ranch is the ideal place.”
