Release the mantids!

BOULDER COUNTY – Some people have family members that come home starry-eyed and talking of adopting a kitten or puppy, coaxing their loved ones into agreement by promising to feed, water, or walk it daily.  So it was with us when my spouse came home enthused over potential adoptees offered by a friend of his at work. As could be expected in our house, these weren’t ordinary pets; cute fur balls and accidents on the rug aren’t how we roll. Instead, he spoke of their big, faceted eyes and p

BOULDER COUNTY (JULY 16) – Boulder County residents can get free pickup loads of mulch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday from the county’s Debris Management Site at 2815 Jay Road. Sopris Homes announces new homes in Longmont’s Somerset Meadows

LONGMONT – Ever since the economy started coming back to life, the supply of homes for sale has lagged behind the demand from buyers. It’s not unusual right now for homes to receive competing offers from multiple anxious buyers – or for homes to close in a sale before they are even listed. And for every winning offer, there are often several would-be buyers who walk away disappointed. The truth is, many of these people could skip the anxiety and invest their home-buying dollars in a new, h
