LONGMONT – Interfaith Quilters of Longmont is celebrating its 32nd Annual Quilt Show and Sale this weekend, March 2 and 3. It will be held at the First Lutheran Church located at 803 Third Ave. in Longmont.
A special show preview will be open to the public on Friday, March 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. A donation of $5 at the preview night includes Saturday admission to the show and sale. No quilt sales will take place at the preview.
The Quilt Show and Sale will be held Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is a $1 donation. More than 600 quilts of various types and styles will be on display and available for purchase. Proceeds from these hand- and machine-made quilts will benefit the O.U.R. (Outreach United Resource) Center and the Safe Shelter of the Saint Vrain Valley.
This year’s featured quilters is An Encore of Us!! Several members of the organization will have a section to display their own quilted pieces. They will show what they have made and discuss how it is made. The group hopes to inspire show attendees to learn new quilting techniques including paper piecing, machine and hand quilting, art quilts, applique and more.

Interfaith Quilters of Longmont is a group of volunteers who come together to produce quilts for sale to support local charities, to share the art and skill of all types of quilting, and to provide an opportunity for quilters of any ability to learn and practice new techniques. The organization gathers Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church on the corner of Third Avenue and Terry Street in Longmont. New members are always welcome.
