There is a reason – or actually, there are many reasons – why Toll Brothers is called America’s Luxury Home Builder. “[Toll Brothers] is known for quality of construction and finish work, attention to detail and the level of service is, bar none, the best,” says Heather Gray, sales manager for Toll Brothers at Flatiron Meadows. Flatiron Meadows is a new neighborhood of luxury homes nestled in the quaint, historic town of Erie, which was ranked one of the top 20 places to live in America by Money Magazine. “People love the small town charm of Erie,” says Gray. “Flatiron Meadows boasts close proximity to Boulder, Interlocken and also downtown [Denver].” Boulder, Broomfield and Niwot can be reached in a short, 15-minute drive from the community. Denver International Airport is just 35 minutes away, and from there, the world is at your fingertips.
Flatiron Meadows offers abundant opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. The community itself is threaded with nature and walking trails and parts of the community are preserved for open space. Homes at Flatirons Meadows are zoned for the Boulder Valley School District, with nearby Meadowlark School, serving students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, scheduled to open this year.
Within Flatirons Meadows, Toll Brothers offers two collections: The Retreat and The Vistas. Each collection offers five unique floor plans and countless options for home customization. The variety of floor plans will create a dynamic streetscape that is unique to your neighborhood, and both communities employ a cul-de-sac street design for privacy and safety. Many of the lots also offer sweeping mountain views.
The Durango, a one-story ranch in The Retreat Collection, can be designed with two to four bedrooms and up to three-and-a-half baths. A covered patio can be accessed from multiple rooms in the 2,500-square-foot house, which also features a two-car garage. The other four plans in The Retreat collection offer two-story options for homebuyers. The Bellvue is a 2,700-square-foot plan with a stunning, curved staircase. At just over 3,000 square feet, the Yuma offers grand features like a two-story great room, a second-floor juliet balcony and an accessible, first-floor master bedroom.
The Dillon clocks in at just over 3,450 square feet with garage space for three cars and a second-story master with spa-like bathroom features and a gigantic walk-in closet. The Granby is the Retreat Collection’s largest floor plan at 3,555 square feet. A first floor master and up to four-and-a-half baths ensure comfortable, spacious living for larger families or a house full of out-of-town guests. The Retreat Collection is located at 1084 Carbonate Road in Erie and home prices start at $506,995.
The Vistas Collection at Flatiron Meadows offers larger homes on larger plots of land. The collection’s largest plan, the Valmont, provides 4,147 square feet of luxurious living space with two-story windows in the great room and walk-in closets for every secondary bedroom. The Orion, a 3,954-square-foot layout, features a curved staircase and computer loft, while the slightly smaller Bella plan features a winsome staircase and a rear picture window that provides daylight and views to the kitchen area. The layouts feature practical luxuries, too, such as the centrally-located laundry in the Ralston floor plan. The Vistas Collection is located at 1094 Carbonate Road in Erie and home prices start at $638,995.
Each floor plan in the Vistas Collection offers abundant space for both living and entertaining, with features like vaulted ceilings and stately, formal dining rooms. The collection’s only single-story option, the 3,405-square-foot Chatfield plan, is a ranch-style home.
The Chatfield captured the heart of Mary Ann Lundgren, who moved with her husband into their customized home in fall of 2017. “We had worked with other builders and looked at other plans,” says Lundgren. “When we found this particular plan, we just fell in love with it. We have five grandchildren and we thought it would be a good place for them to play and hang out. We also have a lot more room to have family and friends over for entertaining.”
While the perfect floor plan is important, the process of designing and building a custom home is an involved one. Without the right team of people, that process can be difficult and unpleasant. Lundgren was familiar with the national reputation of the Toll Brothers and was excited to work with a quality builder in creating her dream home, but her experience with the Toll Brothers’ customer service exceeded even these high expectations. “They kept us up-to-date with once weekly phone calls to tell us how the home was progressing and what would be happening during the week,” says Lundgren, who was at the home site almost daily during the build. From the sales office to the design team to the construction team, Lundgren says her experience was overwhelmingly positive. “The folks at Toll Brothers are so pleasant, nice, warm and welcoming when you walk into the sales office,” she says. “They strive to make your home what you want it to be. If we had a question or concern, it was dealt with right away. They were in constant touch with us to let us know what was happening. It was a smooth, easy process to work with this team here at Flatirons Meadows.” Just a few months into life in her new home, Lundgren is confident she made the right decision. “We are so pleased with the home,” she says. “I can’t say enough good things about the Toll Brothers and our experience.”
The “Design Your Own Home” tool on the Toll Brothers’ website allows you to start with a floor plan and explore the myriad of add-ons and extensions available to you. Buyers can see how a chosen floor plan looks with an expanded garage bay, an alternate layout for the great room and front entrance, or the addition of a fifth bedroom on the second floor. Additionally, each floor plan comes in three attractive exteriors for further personalization of your home. The Toll Brothers website also features three dimensional walk throughs, virtual tours, images, site plans, and the Toll Brothers 3D Kitchen Visualizer, which allows homebuyers to explore different materials and color options for their personalized kitchen.
