Two-story and ranch-style models from Markel Homes

The Markel Homes models are from the builder’s Modern American Classics Collection. The two-story Farmhouse is reminiscent of another era but loaded with features that plant it squarely in the twenty-first century. Huge windows, ten-foot ceilings, and an open floor plan create an airy and bright main floor. Stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and white oak floors give the home a contemporary look and feel. The three-bed, three-bath model is also available in Modern Prairie, Modern Incline and Modern Craftsman elevations.

Markel’s other model is a ranch-style Modern Craftsman with a finished walk-out lower level. The open plan features a main floor master suite with five-piece bath and walk-in closet. Bedrooms two and three share a full bath with dual-sink vanity. The home features the huge windows, ten-foot ceilings and contemporary finishes found throughout Markel’s Modern American Classics Collection. This plan is also available in Modern Incline and Modern Prairie architectural styles.

Two-story Prairie-style model from McStain Neighborhoods

The Harmony plan – the largest home in the McStain Classic Collection – has top billing as the builder’s model at West Grange. The home’s two-story design captures the essence of stylish yet sensible living, with four bedrooms, four baths, main floor study and finished walk-out lower level with two additional bedrooms and baths. Multiple options for casual or formal dining indoors or out make the home a beautiful fit for the homeowner who loves to entertain.

Floor-to-ceiling windows welcome incredible natural light and surrounding views from the open dining area, kitchen and great room. Huge windows in the great room overlook the large deck. The attached three-bay tandem garage and handy owner’s entry are favorite features of the Harmony. McStain offers the plan in four architectural styles: Farmhouse, Prairie, Mid-Century and Contextual, with base pricing from $693,000.

Single-family homes for sale now

Models aren’t the only reason to stop by the West Grange grand opening. Both builders have move-in-ready homes for sale and more coming in the months ahead. A mid-century two-story from McStain Neighborhoods, ready this month, is the same Harmony floor plan as the model, with base pricing from $725,000. The move-in-ready two-story Farmhouse in McStain’s Concerto plan features an upper master suite, two secondary bedrooms and loft. Pricing starts at $650,000.

Four additional homes from McStain Neighborhoods will be completed before the end of the year. Another five are targeted for completion during the first quarter of 2020. Buyers are encouraged to get in early to select finish options, color packages and designer upgrades.

Markel Homes has earmarked four homes for completion between September and November, with pricing from $604,500. These include a ranch-style Modern Incline with finished walk-out lower level; ranch-style Modern Craftsman; two-story Modern Farmhouse; and two-story Bow House.

All the single-family homes from Markel Homes feature high performance standards that result in healthier indoor air, more comfortable living spaces, lower energy use, and exceptional durability. The homes receive third-party certifications from the Zero Energy Ready Home program, Indoor AirPLUS, Energy Star® and Leadership in Environmental Design (LEED).

Stellar location draws buyers to West Grange
