Barefoot Lakes is a community built on the idea that nature experiences and lakeside living make everyday activities more unique. Located just a few miles off I-25 in Firestone, Barefoot Lakes is designed to encourage natural experiences for its residents. Whether it’s a walk on the network of trails through open space, or a picnic at the 12-acre Peninsula Park, residents and their families can engage with nature easily and daily.
Even the name – Barefoot Lakes – inspires visions of long, sunny days spent waterside, playing and making memories with those you love most. If the idea of lakeside living relaxes you, you’re not alone. There is even a scientific theory that supports that experience: “blue mind science.” Proposed by marine biologist Wallace Nichols in his book Blue Mind, blue mind science is the theory that there are tangible neurological, psychological and emotional benefits to connecting with water spaces. “If you come in contact with water regularly, it has major positive effects on energy, stress and attitude,” says Ethan Demby, director of integration at Art + Business ONE, the brand and marketing firm for Barefoot Lakes.
The builders for the Barefoot Lakes property offer the opportunities people need to relax and recharge by adding such “blue mind” water spaces to their lives. There are five builders contributing to the developing community at Barefoot Lakes: CreekStone Homes, KB Home, Richmond American Homes, Brookfield Residential and Lennar.
Lennar launches Pioneer Collection
“Lennar has been a builder at Barefoot Lakes since the beginning,” says Demby. “They were originally part of the first section of WaterSide Neighborhood within Barefoot Lakes, and now they are opening their next collection: The Pioneer Collection at Barefoot Lakes.” Starting in the low $400s, The Pioneer Collection has four two-story home designs for buyers to choose from. At 1800 square feet, the Elbert features 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. At more than 2300 square feet, the Pike is a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath home. Lennar will have two of its designs available for tours at the Just Add Water Model Homes Tour & Inspiration Event: The Evans, a 4-bedroom home, and The Chelton, the largest design in The Pioneer Collection with
4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths.
Regardless of which Lennar home design works for your family, you can rest assured you’ll be getting all the bells and whistles you’ll need for convenient luxury home living. Lennar’s Everything’s Included® package equips all of its home designs with connectivity, efficiency, luxury and simplicity features, at no extra cost to you. This includes energy-conscious green building features to save you money and help the environment, as well as modern finishes and designs for appliances and fixtures. With Lennar’s Wi-Fi Certified™ Home Design, your family can enjoy full connectivity in every room of your house, and other benefits like a Wi-Fi thermostat, video doorbell and smart locks – all of which you can control from your phone.
Lennar will host a grand opening event for their new model homes on March 30 and 31 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. Biker Jim’s Gourmet Dogs will serve hot dogs, Gigi’s Cupcakes will be providing sweet treats and there will also be an espresso bar from The Espresso Affair. Visitors can enjoy these free refreshments while touring the new Evans and Chelton model homes.
Last chance for Brookfield Residential’s Avenue Portfolio
Brookfield Residential features two portfolios of homes at Barefoot Lakes: the Harvest Portfolio and the Avenue Portfolio, which has only a handful of available homes remaining. Each of the Avenue lots are located right around WaterSide Park. “WaterSide Park is a character-filled, nature-inspired park,” says Demby. “With natural play pieces like rock scrambles and a slide built into a hill, it’s a perfect place to for adults to stroll and children to play.” Brookfield’s Avenue Portfolio has six floor plans featuring 2 to 4 bedrooms and starting in the mid $300s, the last of which are sure to be snatched up soon.
Coming soon to Barefoot Lakes: The Cove
“The Cove, our latest and greatest amenity center, is under construction now and scheduled to open in fall of 2019,” says Demby. A 7000-square-foot gathering and fitness center, The Cove will feature unique gathering areas within it, as well as rentable event space and a fitness area. “Right outside of the center there will be an integrated pool with a six lane lap pool connected to a kids’ splash pool with a beach-like entry,” says Demby. “The Cove is a great expression of the respite, retreat experience of the entire community.” Situated on the eastern portion of WaterSide Neighborhood, right along an open space gulch, The Cove will have a natural backdrop. There will be nature trails looping around it that provide access into the next neighborhood. “The outside experience of The Cove will be just as remarkable as the inside,” says Demby. “Not only the pools, but also pickleball courts, firepits, an outdoor grill area and other unique settings that will allow residents to easily enjoy the best of Colorado’s 300+ days of sunshine.”
