BOULDER – Siân Murphy, broker associate with WK Real Estate in Boulder, shines brighter this week as she joins Realtor® Magazine’s 2019 Class of 30 Under 30. “Siân embodies the WK philosophy of forming strong relationships with each and every client, and is a dedicated professional who is passionate about real estate and the people she serves,” says
Dan Kingdom, WK Real Estate.
More than 300 Realtors® from across the country are nominated for the award. Each recipient must be under 30 years old and show remarkable professional leadership, demonstrate business success and be involved with their communities. A panel of judges narrows the nominees to 50 agents and then selects the final class of 30 Under 30. Siân not only earned a spot in the final 30, but also is the only Colorado agent to have been selected.
“Siân has been an integral member of the Boulder Area Realtor Association (BARA) since April 2013. Siân brings a welcome breath of fresh air to everything she does and demonstrates focus, dedication and unwavering desire to serve at the highest level,” says Veronica Precella, chief executive officer of the Boulder Area
Precella continues, “Siân took the helm as Chair of the Young Professional Network (YPN) in late 2016. Under her leadership, participation is at an all time high and engages in multiple community investment activities, education and leadership opportunities and networking events.”
Murphy leads a program for BARA called “Smart Money, Smart Moves” (SMSM). It teaches high school seniors about renting, leases, credit and the qualities expected of a good tenant. For the last two years, Siân has organized and taught Junior Achievement classes, bringing YPN Realtors in front of hundreds of students in our region.
Murphy has also been involved with Share-a-Gift, Project HOME (Help Our Many Elderly) spring yard cleanup for seniors, fielded a team for the Kickball Klassic fundraiser and participated in food drives for Community Food Share. She has been involved in RPAC fundraisers, educating and mentoring new agents and the BARA Communications Committee. Siân received the Colorado YPN Realtor of the Year for 2018.
When asked what makes her so successful, Murphy said, “My business motto is ‘hustle and heart, right from the start,’ and I feel this sends a clear message of who I am as a person and a professional. I run my business and life with a philosophy my parents grew up teaching us: FAWTSY – find a way to say yes. I am committed to being a problem-solver in my business and other aspects of my life. I’m not only an agent for my clients, I’m someone they can rely on.”
